After Nora walks out, she is determined to go to college and really make something of her life. Living with Torvald for the past years has really limited Nora to what she can accomplish as a women. Nora decides to enroll in a small college near where her father used to live. She plans on majoring in business management. Things really start to positively turn around for Nora when she meets Dr. John. He actually appreciates Nora's ambition and plans for what she wants to do after college.
Nora and Dr. John get married 5 years later on a beach. Nora then files a divorce against Torvald. On top of this divorce; she takes the children from Torvald being that she has finally turned her life around and she is doing BIG BIG things. Torvald on the other hand is now almost bankrupt and lonely. It would be safe to say that he got the message that "you don't know what you have until you've lost it."
